The Legal 500’s Green Guide is the first worldwide guide to recognise the top law firms advising on issues concerning climate change, governance and sustainability.
Our recent cases that fall within these categories include our representation of Client Earth in a first-of-its-kind claim by which it sought to hold Shell’s Board of Directors personally liable for failing to properly prepare for the energy transition. We also work closely with Legal Response International, the leading UK-based legal advocacy organisation who provide legal advice to the least developed countries vulnerable to the effects of climate change, and advise Mighty Earth, a global advocacy organisation, to assist them in analysing and evaluating various strategic litigation opportunities to further their global objective of transformative environmental change. We are also advising a substantial group of institutional investors in relation to their circa £2 billion-plus claim against Glencore brought pursuant to s.90 FSMA.
