We are delighted to be ranked in The Legal 500 UK Green Guide 2025 for the third year running. The Guide, which is the first global publication to recognise the top law firms advising on issues concerning climate change, governance and sustainability, notes that Pallas “represents clients in groundbreaking green litigation matters”.
Our recent cases that fall within these categories include advising ClientEarth against the board of directors of Shell, claiming that the members of Shell’s board of directors failed to comply with their legal obligation under the Companies Act to adopt and implement an energy transition strategy that aligns with the Paris Agreement. This is the first ever case seeking to hold company directors personally liable for failing to properly prepare for the energy transition. We are also working with Mighty Earth, a global advocacy organisation, in evaluating strategic litigation opportunities, seeking to persuade leading individuals to reduce deforestation and climate pollution through their activities and improve the livelihood of the indigenous and local communities world-wide. In addition, we continue to advise a substantial group of institutional investors in relation to their circa £2 billion-plus claim against Glencore brought pursuant to s.90 FSMA.
Congratulations to all of the firms listed in the guide. View the full rankings here.
