The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 received Royal Assent on 26th October 2023, bringing with it significant legislative changes to corporate criminal liability as part of the UK government’s ongoing commitment to combat economic crime. And the government has just announced that the new failure to prevent fraud offence will come into force next September.
