Alessia de Quincey

Counsel

Alessia is a Solicitor Advocate based in our London office. She advises clients on a range of contentious issues. Her broad legal practice focuses on high stakes commercial litigation and arbitration as well as internal and regulatory investigations. She has been involved in a number of high-profile cases, acting for both individuals and corporates.

Alessia is recommended in Legal 500 UK 2026 as a key lawyer for Banking Litigation, Financial Services (contentious), Regulatory Investigations and Corporate Crime (advice to corporates) and International Arbitration. She was also recommended by the UK Legal 500 2024 for White Collar Crime (advice to individuals) and Commercial Litigation: premium. Consistently praised by clients, she is described as “a tenacious advocate with exceptional legal insight and tireless work ethic” who “delivers results every time”, “a brilliant legal professional and a rising star in her field” who is “razor sharp, efficient and effective in everything she does”, and “a very steady pair of hands, with a masterful grasp of the detail of the matters she works on.”

Alessia regularly appears as a Solicitor Advocate in the Chancery Division of the High Court on a pro bono basis in support of the Chancery Litigant in Person Support Scheme (CLiPS). She is consistently recognised by the Bar Association and has been awarded the Pro Bono Champion Award for the third year running since 2023.

Credit Suisse AT1 Holders

Acting for AT1 holders in correspondence and proceedings against the Swiss authorities, Credit Suisse and UBS in respect of the AT1 write-downs.

 

Energy and Natural Resources

Acting for a Middle Eastern oil refinery in a USD 500 million ICC arbitration claim against an Egyptian energy company relating to the wrongful termination of a gas supply agreement.

 

FCA, PRA and related Investigations

Advising a global investment bank in relation to allegations of non-financial misconduct concerning FCA regulated persons.

 

Allegations of Misconduct

Advising the founder and CEO of a multi-national company in relation to a whistle-blowing investigation into allegations of misconduct of both a financial and non-financial nature.

 

Pro Bono

Providing advocacy support to the Commercial Court’s Litigants in Person scheme (CLIPS).
